Pros and cons of Learn Thai - WordPower app for iPhone and iPad

Learn Thai - WordPower app good for

On your next trip to Thailand, or if you decide to move there permanently, you should find this app to be useful.
I like the daily word and sentence examples. The sound bites are good too.
I know some Thai and was looking for a way to practice what I knew as well as extend my vocabulary. I picked this app over Lonely Planet as this one seemed to have more content. To my surprise, I love this app! It has many cool features and is perfect for me. In addition, the speaker is native and pronounces the tones correctly which is so important because dfferent tones have different meanings. Great job and I hope that the developer will add more content for the price that you pay.
This program is great. It offers the words pronounced in english also known as transliteration which I like. It also says the words for you and offers some flash cards which are nice too. It seems there are some available upgrades for the flash cards. . The only bad thing so far is that in the transliteration of the word some are misspelled.
Other than duplicate words and random words in irrelavent categories, this app is phenominal... ~ Fairly Fluent Falang
I really like This app as a tool for learning the Thai language. Good job! Needs bigger buttons to tap through screens; sometimes flipping through the screens is a bit difficult because the buttons dont pick up the input. Also, their are a few similar categories that could be merged.

Some bad moments

I have been studying thai for several months and have an excellent beginners book, have a great app which translates in English,Thai and a ,"sounds like" system which is really useful. I downloaded this app with eager anticipation but didnt recognise many of the words,in fact, I wondered if I had downloaded the wrong app. The phonetics used are in no way compatable with anything that I already have or have any similarity to those used by the school I attended in Bangkok. So rather than struggle and become confused I have ditched this app. Shame in principle it could be very good but not for me
Programm does and cant teach you the language at all. Since its setup doesnt make it possible. With 2.000 words it is even not worth to be used as a dictionary, specialy not because of the lak of verbs. It is even not helpfull with phrases since there are not enough. If you need phrases for your next Thailand stay, get the Audio Phrasebook Thai from Lonely Planet. At least this is a help and I am sure you will survive most situations. The WordPower Thai is not worth its money. Can I get mine back?
There are a lot of repeat words in some categories, so it can get a bit confusing at times. Also there is an annoying advertisement at the start of the program that lags the app and will sometimes cause the program to crash!
Definetly lack of contents. There is a relatively vast vocabulary (2200 words) but there is not enough sentences to give the context and make the word actionable. Too bad I bought it for the sentences.
Please update for the ver. 4.0.2 it can not start the application!
The "native" speaker appears to be tone impaired. Not so with the Chinese version. Fluent falang
